The Nordic Youth Film Days in Palestine was a 7-day event on 3-9 May 2016. 10 films made by young Nordic filmmakers from six Nordic countries were presented at the event. The screening of the films took place in 7 locations in Palestine including Jerusalem and Gaza. The young Nordic filmmakers attended the film days and presented their films, followed by discussions with the audience, met young Palestinian filmmakers and experienced real cultural exchange through film. Films of both genders were screened. The film-days attracted many people especially youth and film students. The Nordic film program gave the opportunity to 10 young filmmakers from different Nordic countries to meet each other for the first time, develop good relationships with each other and discuss the possibility of working together in the near future. The experience gave them a unique view of Palestinian people and their culture during their tour and meeting with different types of people and touring various Palestinian locations. The event also gave Palestinian audience a close look at Nordic culture through the films stories, discussions, meetings, going out, talking, dancing and having fun.
